Digital Photography and Imaging: Project 1

Image
This was a very interesting start to my tasks for this semester and this module as a whole.  I was very excited to know that we would be doing both a physical collage and a digital collage for our work and I was very eager to get started on it. Initial Compositions: Final Composition: I used this because I believed that this composition is the most pleasing to the eye, as it uses a sense of overlapping with the right end of the knife's blade partially overlapping the bowl of fruit. Digital Compositions: These were a very interesting challenge for me as we were only allowed to only use a certain set of images for our work. Initial Compositions:   Final Digital Collage: I started out with this composition as it was simple yet the items in this photo complemented each other well, the fish matching the blue building, while the white building matched the white background. I utilized the tools such as brightness and contrast, levels, colour balance, etc. to create a slightly m...

On top of that the composition of this photograph is well-executed as it is putting the focus on the man standing in the middle of the furthest picture frame which in turn resides in the foreground’s picture frame.     Design #2     Source: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/637400153534472741/   This poster paints a picture on the series protagonist while also applying a brilliant use of color theory, composition and framing. This piece also tells somewhat of a story and the tone of the movie, which is highly action packed, and with it being the 4th movie in the series, the characters that the protagonist knows are shown as almost a part of him as they reside within the confines of the protagonist.   Design #3 Source: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/63740...

Exercises Vormeter Characters Sketches: These are the sketches I was using and basing my Vormeter character off of. Sillhouette: I decided to use the second sketch as I felt it was more creative and original in some capacity. Final Version + Wireframe: Exercise 2: Sketch: The two words I have taken was the words Music and Angel, and the principle of this sketch was to combine both aspects of the words into each other. Adding a sense of dynamic design. Three versions of the same text. Final Version: However, I decided to change my final design, adding a treble cleff in replacement of the music note, removal of the wing and moving the halo to a different position.

Typeface: The family of fonts or weight that share a similar style Fonts: Individual fonts or weights within a typeface Development History: Early letterform development: Phoenician to Roman:- It was initially meant to be merely scratching wet clay with sharpened stick or carving into a stone with a chisel. The forms of uppercase letterforms for nearly 2000 years can be seen to have evolved out of these tools and materials. At their core, uppercase forms are simple combination of straight lines and pieces of circles as the materials and tools of early writing required. This is the earliest form of typefacing. The greeks however, changed the direction of writing. Phoenicians, like other Semitic people, wro...
