Illustration and Visual Narrative / Final Reflection

Task 1: Exercises Task 2: MyTiger Poster Task 3: Digital Triptych Final Project: Animated 1 page Visual Novel Final Reflection: Overall, I found this module to be very insightful in the means of design, expanding my creativity in ways I did not think of, using and learning fundamental programs in the professional industry such as Illustrator. And teaching us on ways to adapt to it, especially with me being used to my other programs, Illustrator was definitely a challenge to navigate. However, once I was able to learn the ways of that program as well as create pieces that I am proud of in said software was definitely incredibly satisfying. We learnt about many things in Illustrator, such as basic tools like the Pen tool to utilizing tools within each other such as the shape builder tool to connect to shapes together, so on and so forth. Illustration and Visual Narrative / Task 4

Animated 1 page Visual Novel W e were tasked to follow up from our digital triptych by creating one panel in a web comic style. I decided to set my sights on the second panel, as I feel that was where the conflict was lying and it would be the most interesting to animate. First things first, I sketched out my page. I felt that this was a good way of showing the violence without being too explicit about it, the tenseness of the situation as the protagonist thinks on this being a normal thing. Once that is done, I used a combination of Illustrator and photoshop to create my panel. I decided to use illustrator as a means of doing lineart as I feel it is best for doing something like that. I then was able to clean up the lines, and then continued to use illustrator for the blood splatters, as well as creating some text. Once I was able I then proceeded to add colour.
