PROJECT 2: Digital Photography (MyTiger Contest)

 Exercise 1: Double Exposure

This exercise showed us how to work within the functions of applying clipping masks into photoshop and using different pictures to layer on top of one another.

I used this picture of myself to create the double exposure.

I then removed the background and smoothened out the edges and applied a clipping mask to only make the subject (me) visible.

I then applied a bit of contrast curves as well as a grey background

Once done, I applied another mask and put a forest on the subject and have the background match the colour of the foreground to make it seem separated.

Last but not least, I inserted birds and a cloud on top as well as a cinematic warm filter on top.

Project 2: MyTiger Poster

This was the background I used for this poster as I wanted to create a vaporwave esque backdrop and aesthetic and this was suitable for that kind of setting.

I then removed the sky and lake with a clipping mask as I did not need it.

I then added a road as I wanted a food truck to be placed on it and to fit with the vaporwave aesthetic I wanted to achieve, I coloured both areas, purple.

Sky was added as well turning it purple.

Food truck was added onto the purple backdrop.

Finally, I then gave the truck a yellow hue, to make it stand out from the purple background. A few touchups with the contrast giving it a more strong appearance, I then added the text onto the poster and finalized this as my poster.
